I believe "B. There are at least 3 different schematics for the Metropolitan radios floating around the internet, and at least 3 different Pye PECR series radios. I've done a dozen or more of the PECR radios, and although they are cheaply made, if their done right they don't come back--at least not yet! It takes parts from 3 different Centralab controls to make up a correct one for the Metropolitan. I wasn't aware there was a classified section here, and quite honestly wouldn't have thought there to be much Metropolitan talk here anyway.

I just replaced the electrolytics and it sprang to life. Unfortunately the customer only wanted the radio repaired to the extent it played, not restored. I never heard from him, so I presume it is still going strong. This is a - must have - reference for any Metropolitan enthusiast and would certainly assist in helping any potential purchaser better understand the inner workings prior to purchasing one of these classic automobiles.
