From concerts to tradeshows, we welcome the community to participate in our events! The University of Georgia Tifton Campus is a regular participant in local events.

From sponsoring a Relay for Life team to assembling a float for the annual Christmas parade in Tifton to hosting regular blood drives, the campus is visible in the community. Tift County Extension Office. UGA Extension agents in Tift County offer educational programs and client services for local residents. Conduct supervised research in agricultural, food, and environmental science.

Sincere interest in scientific exploration in agricultural, food and environmental science; math and technology. Completion of one high school science course, including laboratory, and one semester of algebra.

I presented all the research that I did with my professor and competed to win first place at the competition. More than 60 Georgia teenagers spent the better part of their summer working in some of the most prestigious research laboratories at the University of Georgia. The students worked in some of the most advanced laboratories at UGA in Griffin, Tifton and Athens during the six-week program. They assisted with actual research projects led by UGA faculty, and at the end of the program they presented their findings in a research symposium.

Some students may be listed as coauthors on these studies when they are published in academic journals, which is rare for students who have not completed high school. The students worked in some of the most advanced laboratories at UGA in Griffin, Tifton and Athens during the six-week program to address novel and interesting questions.

Some will even have their work published before they graduate from high school, which gives them a leg up in their scientific careers. One purpose of the program is to introduce students to the variety of careers and fields of study that they can pursue in the agricultural and life sciences at the university.
